High School Umpire Uniform Standards

 

The New Jersey State Federation of Umpires is dedicated to serving the Greater Middlesex Conference and the Greater Middlesex County Tournaments, for both baseball and softball.  In order to maintain the Federations integrity and consistency in umpiring, all uniform information can be found below:

Mandatory Softball Uniform

  • NJSIAA, powder blue, sublimated shirt shall be worn for all NJSIAA games. 

  • Heather Grey slacks - No Charcoal grey

  • White undergarment, not to exceed the sleeve of the uniform shirt

  • Black shoes

  • Black socks

  • Navy Blue fitted cap

  • Black belt

  • Ball bags shall be navy or heather grey, with a recommendation of navy

  • If worn, Outer garment should be Navy Blue with Powder Blue shoulder stripes.

Mandatory Baseball Uniform

  • NJSIAA, navy blue or black, sublimated shirt shall be worn for all NJSIAA games

  • Charcoal Grey slacks - NO heather grey

  • Undergarments: navy blue uniform = blue shirt, black uniform = black shirt

  • Black shoes

  • Black socks

  • Navy blue or black fitted cap; the cap should match your shirt

  • Black belt

  • If worn, Outer garment must be navy blue or black with NJSIAA emblem

  • Ball Bags shall match the color of your shirt.
